PaperPaw is a beta: for testing, and for developers, who can build their own plugins before the release. Expect rough edges.

A rule does something by itself when something happens: night mode on every day at 22:00, or the catalogs synced when PaperPaw starts.

Rules are in Settings under Customise, as Rules. Add rule asks When? (PaperPaw starts, a time of day, a book opened or closed, the battery, charging, a switch and more) and What then? (run an action, turn a switch on or off, set a number, show a message). Tap a rule to pause it; hold it (with buttons, hold Select) for a condition such as Between two times of day, or to remove it.

The actions, switches and numbers to choose from come by plugin: pick the plugin, then what it brings; back goes out of it again. An action that works on the screen shown, such as Back or Next page, does what it would do if pressed there.

Times apply whatever screen is open. Two rules that keep undoing each other stop after a few steps.
