Weather shows the weather now and the next days as widgets for the home screen, from Open-Meteo, which needs no account or key. Weather now shows the temperature, the condition and more to choose; Forecast shows the next days in a row or a list.
First choose a place: in the settings, under Weather, Place (type a name, then pick it from the places found). Only its coordinates are sent, and only while a weather widget is shown. Add the widgets by editing the home screen.
The weather is fetched at most as often as Update at most every says, and only while there is a network: it never switches Wi-Fi on by itself.
